With our free app and online service, consumers can get affordable legal help from experienced lawyers for a fixed-fee of just $39—anytime, anywhere, and on demand.
While the public launch is an exciting milestone, it’s amazing to think back on how much work has been done leading up to this. We’ve talked to and heard from hundreds of consumers and lawyers while researching, designing, and building the Advisor service. We did things like park ourselves in front of the local coffee shop to get early input and feedback from real people. We did countless design workshops and exercises. And based on what we’ve learned along the way, the team has returned to the drawing board more than a few times, changing direction even while never losing sight of the over-arching vision of facilitating more (and better) connections between attorneys and consumers.
Advisor has been in beta since earlier this year while we’ve been slowly rolling it out to fifteen states and nine legal categories (or “practice areas,” in lawyer-speak). Since starting the beta, we’ve learned a ton and the response from consumers who have used it has been fantastic—one recent reviewer said that the Advisor lawyer “did a great job answering my questions. He was knowledgeable and patient… And he even called me back a few minutes later to give me more information. I am completely satisfied with his service.”
We’re in an Uber world now and although people can now do almost anything, anywhere—buy insurance, order groceries, manage their stock portfolios, consult with a doctor—they don’t manage their legal issues on the go or on demand. I’m really excited to be part of the team that’s bringing that same access to the legal industry: Advisor is the perfect solution for consumers looking for fixed-fee legal advice, saving time, money and hassle—for less than the price of a tank of gas! :)
