Author: Gerald Healy
Gerald Healy was commissioned as a Judge Advocate into the United States Marine Corps in 2004. He represented dozens of military clients in cases ranging from drug use and sexual assault to fraud and espionage over nearly a decade of experience before his honorable discharge from the Marines in 2012. With experience as both a military lawyer and a civilian defense attorney, Mr. Healy brings a unique perspective to the complex, formidable sphere of military law. He is currently a member of the Connecticut Bar, and works closely with Military Justice Attorneys, PLLC.
Although we may never know the true reason why Bowe Bergdahl decided to broadcast his defense on NPR, the whole series may be a flanking maneuver for the hearts and minds of the general public, not necessarily his military peers.
