Avvo names Kelly McGill Chief People Officer

Seattle, WashSEATTLE, Dec. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Avvo, Inc., the leading online legal marketplace connecting lawyers and consumers, today announced it has hired Kelly McGill as the company’s first Chief People Officer.

A seasoned talent strategist, McGill has spent more than 20 years working with teams at Fortune 500 companies to align talent and business strategy. Most recently, she launched conscious business and mindfulness initiatives at LinkedIn while wrapping up her role as VP Talent at Lynda.com, where she spearheaded an end-to-end HR and talent strategy. Previously, she held talent management roles at Expedia, Microsoft and T-Mobile.

In her role at Avvo, McGill will develop and execute Avvo’s people strategy in support of the overall strategic direction of the organization. She will also lead the organization in continuing to build and sustain its inclusive, respectful culture — a culture that makes Avvo a great place to work and fosters innovation and great service for Avvo’s customers.

McGill lives in the Seattle area and enjoys spending time with her husband and four adult children exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, playing board games and watching sci-fi.
