Seattle, Wash — Avvo® Inc., the leading online legal marketplace connecting lawyers and consumers, today announced it has hired Ashley Raiteri as VP of Engineering. He reports to Kevin Goldsmith, Chief Technology Officer.
Raiteri has over 22 years of developer and manager experience working at international startups and Fortune 500 companies, including Boeing and Hewlett-Packard. He has held CTO positions for over six technology startups in the medical, travel and legal technology verticals. Prior to joining Avvo, Ashley served as Chief Information Officer at Airhelp.com, an international legal technology startup for the travel industry.
At Avvo, Raiteri will lead the software development teams. “I’m excited to join Avvo’s dynamic and Agile culture, where rapid testing and learning is at the forefront,” said Raiteri. “I’m looking forward to incorporating my data-driven approach so that we can continue iterating and improving – and so that we can continue to connect consumers with the legal help they need.”

Raiteri holds a Bachelor of Science, Physics, from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He began his career as a rocket scientist in the Arizona Desert, and has been launching technology startups ever since. Outside of work, Raiteri enjoys traveling with his family, hiking, and being a foodie.
