Accelerated Growth, Research & Development Facilities Expansion Drives Relocation
Seattle, Wash — Avvo, Inc., the leading online legal marketplace connecting consumers and lawyers, will relocate to a new headquarters in Seattle’s downtown core on 8th+Olive in December 2015. The company currently leases space in the Wells Fargo building in the Financial District and the Union Station building in the International District.
The move stems from Avvo’s accelerated growth and the company’s desire to bring its talent and resources together in one location that reflects the vibrant and innovative culture of the company. Avvo grew its headcount by 100% year over year in 2014, and expects to double headcount again in 2015.

We worked closely with our human resources department, the brokerage team at Washington Partners, and the building owner Talon Private Capital to find this space here in the thriving business and technology community in Seattle.”
Built in 1981 and renovated just this year, 8th+Olive is located between the central business district and the fast-developing South Lake Union Area, and boasts amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness center, a conference room and training facility, and on-site coffee, retail, and collaborative spaces. As an anchor tenant of the building, Avvo will be leasing seven of the building’s 20 stories.
Avvo currently has job openings and plans to hire talent across business development, product, big data, engineering, marketing, and design by the end of this year. Avvo also recently launched an internship program in its engineering department to help foster junior developers. In addition to Avvo’s active full-time recruitment locally, Avvo begins campus recruitment with a tour of six universities this fall.
